Links Leadership Academy for Girls
The Links Leadership Academy for Girls was established in 2019 to help African-American teenage girls in the Cincinnati area develop 21st-century skills that will empower them to lead and succeed in a global environment.
Specifically, The Academy will focus on (1) building a foundation of cultural confidence and competence that leads to increased self-confidence and awareness; (2) enhancing the skills necessary for success in school and career; (3) enhancing graduation readiness and life skills; and (4) cultivate responsible local, national and global citizenship.
Each year the Academy focuses on one leadership/character-building theme to weave into each Facet module or to highlight through conversation, activity, and “mentorship” with the girls.
In 2021, The Chapter was awarded First Place in Umbrella Programming for The Links Leadership Academy for Girls at the 46th Central Area Conference.
Applications for the 2023 - 2024 cohort of The Links Leadership Academy for Girls are no longer available.
